I wish I knew how to take a picture

of the outside world right now. It is BEAUTIFUL! The snow has been melting for the past few days. It was 39degrees when I left work yesterday. The grass was green at work. I mean green. Not painted either. :) This morning, the moon is full and we have about 3 inches on the ground. Driving ought to be just a pleasure. I really should get out there and sweep and shovel paths to cars. You would love it. The scene is Currier & Ives perfect. Being as I can't share what is outside right now, this one is from Saturday at 10:43 a.m. Sunrise it was. Makes a gal feel productive when she's already done shopping for the day by the time the sun peaks over the mountain.

In other stuff. Jari has been working around the house. It is winter again and time to do inside projects. Too bad the money supply doesn't match the want to get done list. We tend to leave things not quite all the way done. The laundry room still needs a ceiling over the insulation and plastic as well as flooring, but that's okay. They are easy fixes when we find some extra pennies. In the new fixes and changes department around here ... I really ought to share pictures with you one of these days.
  • Master bathroom got a new mirror, light fixture, shower curtain rod and toilet paper holder last night. Still have flooring, trim and doors to go in there. I also need a cabinet in there. I have an idea. Scarey thought that it is. I think I have enough supplies here to make what I want. Will see if I can get it done sometime soon. Almost there!
  • Storage room is done downstairs. That still needs the doorway fixed and a door. The room is filled with shelving all the way around ... and the shelves are filled. Love it!
  • Alyx moved into a different bedroom downstairs. We had made 2 bedrooms out of the "family room" down there. When Sam came, Brock moved out of his room and eventually Jari made him his own space somewhere else in the basement. Now that Sam is gone, Alyx moved into that room and is emptying the room she was in. As soon as she is done with that ... the walls are coming down. We'll get that family room back eventually here. Can't wait to move the entertainment center out of the living room. And ... there are cupboards and counter top on one end wall. Perfect for crafting supplies that can hopefully move out of the kitchen pantry.
  • Next on the list is another bedroom in the unfinished part of the basement. If you've been here, there is a door at the bottom of the stairs. That door will lead to a decent size bedroom. The problem with that space was that it held the tool chest (no garage here) and the very heavy gun safe. HELD. Jari moved them on Monday. Without a dolly. By himself. Because he thought he was 20 years old again. Nice to feel young once in a while .. even if that delusion only lasts for the length of time it takes to move the heavy object. After which, you move to the heating pad and the chiropractor for the next week. He bear hugged the thing and moved it. A wee bit crazy. Mission was accomplished. The space is empty and ready for remodeling mess. Fun. Fun. Fun.
I really need to get off this computer. 6:13 a.m. and I probably should go make sure all the bodies are up and out of bed. I need to put some boots on and get outside. Probably don't need a jacket. The thermometer reads 34 degrees out there. Beautiful snow and 34 degrees. Nonsensical. Cherubs all need to be at school early this morning. Am putting a stew in the crockpot for dinner and have potatoes and carrots that need peeling.
